Mayson began his karting career in 2022 at just six years old. Taking to it naturally, it wasn’t long before he stood on the top step of the podium, claiming the 2022 East of England E Plate.

In 2023, he continued racing in the Bambino class, securing multiple podiums in the British Championship and finishing the season an impressive P4 overall. Alongside this, Mayson also competed in several other championships, including SuperOne and The Kart Championships, where he consistently added more podium finishes to his record.

For the 2024 season, Mayson made the step up to the Waterswift Restricted class, joining the prestigious Oliver Rowland Motorsport team to compete in the British Kart Championships. Despite the challenge of moving into a faster, more competitive category, he adapted quickly and proved he could fight at the sharp end of the field. One of the highlights of his season came at PFI for Round 2, where he delivered a superb performance to finish 2nd overall, showing maturity and racecraft well beyond his years. Throughout the championship he continued to battle for podium places, demonstrating consistency, pace, and the drive to succeed at the highest level.

Later in the year, for the final round of the British Championships, Mayson made the switch to Fusion Motorsport in preparation for the 2025 season. Once again he rose to the occasion, finishing on the podium with a brilliant 3rd placeand securing 6th overall in the championship standings - a fantastic achievement in only his first season at this level. Mayson also gained valuable international experience in 2024, travelling overseas to compete in selected rounds of the IAME Euro Series as well as the IAME Winter Cup. Against some of the best young drivers in Europe — and often as one of the youngest on the grid — he impressed with his progress, regularly running inside the top 10 and proving he could adapt quickly to new tracks and tough competition.

In 2025, Mayson took another big step in his career, moving up

into the highly competitive Waterswift class (ages 9–12). At just

9 years old, he was one of the youngest drivers on the grid, but that

hasn’t stopped him from making an immediate impact.

Throughout the 2025 season Mayson showed impressive pace and

consistency, regularly fighting towards the podium positions in both

the British Championships and the IAME Euro Series. Mayson ended his

British Championship campaign with a podium at Kimbolton and Whilton

Mill on both days! He rounded out the Iame Euro Series in 7 , and the British

Championship in 8 . Facing the challenge of competing against drivers up to

three years older, Mayson has embraced the opportunity to learn and grow. His ability to adapt, stay composed under pressure, and push himself against older, more experienced competitors highlights both his talent and determination. Each race brings valuable lessons, and with every outing he continues to raise his game, showing the maturity of a driver well beyond his years.
